Who We Are:
Wheels To Freedom is a non-profit organization comprised of individuals in the community working together to help families obtain wheelchair accessible vans to enable them to fully participate in the community. The organization meeting took place on September 24, 1999 and "Wheels To Freedom" became our theme as well as our name.
What We Have Accomplished:
Monthly fund-raisers have been scheduled. Selection Proceedures and criteria are in process. 18 wheelchair accessible vans have been given to individuals thus far. These are just a couple given so far:
How We Can Help:
This day and age, there is an ongoing demand for upgrades in our communities to become more handicapped accessible. With this demand comes a great deal of cost. Not only to the community, but especially to the physically challenged. Our goal is to raise funding to purchase accessible vans, to donate to these particular families that cannot afford the high cost of this equipment. Wheels To Freedom, is but a few very dedicated people that strive on helping to get the physically challenged out into our community.
